Troy Osborne Pryor is an award-winning film producer, director and actor from Chicago. He spent a large part of his childhood in Atlanta, very active in church and competitive sports, which led to becoming a scholar and athlete at the University of Illinois. Football injuries and a chance meeting with Tyler Perry, however, steered him to a career in the entertainment industry. He is a Chicago Scholars 35 Under 35 and 2018 AdColor Innovator of the Year nominee.
In addition to performing on stage, on camera and doing voice over work, Troy is the founder and CEO of Pryor Holdings LLC, which includes companies, Troy Pryor Studios, Creative Cypher, GOOD Network, and Pyramid Creations. He also serves as the President of production for Urban Broadcast Media. Pryor has built a vertically integrated media brand and occasionally called “T. Diddy” since aggregating hundreds of artists and brokering production deals to help build Chicago’s artistic community. His collaborations with Oscar and Grammy winning artists like Che "Ryhmefest" Smith have landed his work on TV, collaborations with Donda's House, and Common Ground Foundation have helped cement his place as an influencer.
Troy is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; the youngest to be elected Board Member of SAG-AFTRA Chicago history, and Chair of its New Media Committee. He also sits on several local and national boards, and multiple artists organizations, mentors for multiple youth programs, including the White House project "A Call to Arts." started by President Barack Obama. Troy's years as an artist and athlete taught him that the most powerful muscle is the mind. His goal is to inspire all as he strives daily to reach his full potential.
